This Week in Screens: 'Welcome to Derry,' 'Down Cemetery Road,' and 'Chad Powers'

As a chill enters the air and the fall kicks into full swing, the TV Gods have given us more reason to spend those longer nights inside, and there are a lot of new shows to look forward to this week, just as several are coming to their ends. Here’s the lowdown:

Sunday

IT: Welcome to Derry (HBO Max) — Reviews, so far, have been decidedly mixed, but who doesn’t want to at least test the waters on the prequel series to Stephen King’s It (and decidedly not the prequel series to Derry Girls , unless that show is not what I thought it was).

Anne Rice’s Talamasca: The Secret Order (AMC+) — I am hopeful that the latest Anne Rice series with Nicholas Denton and William Fichtne
