EAST LANSING – Michigan’s football team maintained its grasp of the in-state rivalry on Saturday, beating Michigan State 31-20 in East Lansing.

It wasn’t one of the 25th-ranked Wolverines’ tidiest performances of the season, but they extended their win streak over the Spartans to four while improving to 6-2 and 4-1 in the Big Ten.

Overall, they received a grade of 72.5 from Pro Football focus – their third-lowest of the season. An average mark is between 60-69.

After passing for just 86 yards Saturday, the Wolverines earned a dismal 42.2 passing grade. Surprisingly, their run game grade (67.4) was their lowest of the season despite rushing for 276 yards.
