Israeli spy agency Mossad has published details about an alleged Iranian official it claims is responsible for leading a unit promoting antisemitic attacks around the world, including in Australia.
Mossad named the man as "Sardar Amar", and alleged he led the so-called 11,000 Brigade within the Quds Force — the clandestine wing of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), which Australia is preparing to list as a terrorist organisation.
It said the group had been responsible for fuelling "terror without Iranian fingerprints" by recruiting foreigners to undertake dozens of attacks overseas, singling out Australia, Germany and Greece as examples of where such activity had been "thwarted."
