ROWLEY, Iowa - A man has been arrested for attempted murder after allegedly hitting someone with his motor vehicle.
The Buchanan County Sheriff's Office says it received a 911 call around 12:05 pm Friday about an auto accident in the 500 block of Oak Street in Rowley. Deputies say Raymond Leroy Gienau, 70 of Rowley, drove his vehicle off the road and intentionally struck an individual before crashing into a garage.
The Sheriff's Office says the victim suffered non-life threatening injuries. Gienau was booked into the Buchanan County Jail.
This incident remains under investigation.
The Rowley Fire Department, Quasqueton Fire Department, and AMR Ambulance assisted at the scene.
