The 36-year-old Jonas Brothers superstar responded to mixed reactions after the band surprisingly performed during the Stand Up to Cancer segment at a recent MLB game.

Game 2 of the World Series was held on Saturday evening (October 25) at Rogers Centre in Toronto, Canada, and the band was unexpectedly on hand to perform during the big game.

The Stand Up to Cancer tribute took a surprising turn when the broadcast cut to a performance by the group of “I Can’t Lose,” delivered after the fifth inning. While some people praised the mixture of awareness with entertainment, others called it out as awkward and out of place.

There were many complaints on social media following the performance.
