Thiago Silva's son is celebrating a significant landmark in his emerging football career with an international call-up.

However, he has broken with tradition after dropping a hint over his international future as it's not with Brazil.

Silva has 113 caps to his name for Brazil, scoring seven goals for his country with his international career highlight seeing him win the Copa America in 2019.

He was also a member of four World Cup squads, captaining Brazil in both 2014 and 2022.

Although his son Iago is eligible for the Selecao, he has instead been handed his first England call-up.

However, it appears to be for just a training camp, and the call-up is not expected to include any official matches.
