Police are investigating the rape of woman in the West Midlands which they are treating as a 'racially aggravated attack'. Police were called to concerns for the welfare of a woman in distress in a street in the Park Hall area of Walsall, at 7.15pm, last night (October 25).

Officers established that the woman, who is aged in her 20s, had been raped and assaulted at a nearby property by a man she did not know, Birmingham Live reports. Police said the victim is now being supported by officers.

The attacker is described as white, aged in his 30s, with short hair. He was wearing dark clothing at the time.

West Midlands Police have issued a CCTV image of a suspect officers urgently want to trace. If you know who he is, call police on 999 immediately.
