TUCSON, Ariz. (13 News) - The Marana Police Department says a hot air balloon hit an apartment complex Sunday morning.
MPD says this morning at approximately 7:38 a.m., officers from the Marana Police Department and personnel from the Northwest Fire District responded to a report of a hot air balloon which had struck a vacant new build apartment complex.
This occurred on the northwest corner of Tangerine Farms and Clark Farms. The hot air balloon landed in a nearby field afterwards.
6 passengers and 1 pilot were on board the hot air balloon. No persons were transported to the hospital by ambulance and minor injuries were reported.
The FAA and the NTSB have been notified of the incident.
