BISMARCK, ND (KXNET) — We are officially in the last week of Daylight time in 2025. November 2, 2025, will see the end of daylight time as clocks fall back to standard time. North Dakota is one of 48 states that change clocks biannually; despite recent debate, both locally and nationally, North Dakotans should turn those clocks back an hour.

The North Dakota House passed House Bill 1259 earlier this year, which would have ended daylight time in North Dakota permanently. The bill died on its arrival in the Senate. A similar bill, "The sunshine protection act," would have permanently established daylight time nationwide and passed the U.S. Senate in 2022, but never received a House vote. It was reintroduced to the Senate in 2025 and has yet to see a vote.
