A teenager en route to a school dance was tragically killed by a young relative who 'accidentally fired a gun', according to police . ‌

Isaac Brocco-Rivera, 18, was discovered unresponsive in his car next to a park in Lorain, Ohio, at around 6.45pm on Saturday 18 October after reportedly being shot in the head. He was swiftly taken to a nearby hospital by emergency services, where he was declared dead. ‌

On Friday, police stated that their initial investigations suggested the teen was accidentally shot by a young family member whilst both were seated in the vehicle. ‌

It's believed the child was handling the firearm inside the vehicle when it was accidentally discharged, hitting Isaac with a bullet.
