We are tracking some light rain Sunday afternoon in our southern communities.
For the most part, this will bring you a couple tenths of an inch of rain. While anything is helpful in this drought, today's rain won't be enough to really tip the scales.
There is a chance we could pick up more rain by the middle of this week, though, that could help with our dry conditions. Model guidance has been steadily increasing how much moisture will be available in the low pressure center coming through central Illinois by the middle of this week. Right now around one inch of rain for most of our communities seems like a good possibility.
That rain will start Tuesday afternoon as light showers before spreading across more of our communities overnight.
This will be a mostly light-to-moderate rain eve
