Four people were ejected into the water and two died after a boat crash Sunday on the St. Johns River in Brevard County, the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission said.

It happened on the river between State Road 528 and State Road 520.

The FWC said each vessel had an operator and one passenger, and the collision ejected all four individuals into the water.

The operator and passenger of one vessel were uninjured.

The female passenger of the other vessel was recovered unconscious from the water and transported by a good Samaritan to the Lone Cabbage Fish Camp, then to a nearby hospital, where she was later pronounced deceased, the FWC said.
