LOUISVILLE, Ky. —
Following a four-year hiatus, Hayrides in the Park returns to Cherokee Park.
On Sunday, the community was invited to take a free spin around the park as skilled guides told the history of the park.
Mary Grissom, the President and CEO of Olmsted Parks Conservancy, noted in a news release the excitement of returning to Cherokee Park for the first time in several years.
Grissom said, “Each year we rotate between the three flagship Olmsted Parks to bring free hayrides and lawn games in celebration of fall in the parks! Hayride in the Park is a beloved tradition in Iroquois, Shawnee and Cherokee Parks, and we are excited to be back in Cherokee Park this year, where it all began.”
There were also food trucks with refreshments and a free play area for children to engage in
