ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) -Civil Rights and personal injury attorney Ben Crump will be representing 23 Cardinal Ritter College Prep football players and their families after police pepper-sprayed the athletes.
According to a release, Crump, along with Ohio-based co-counsel Sean Walton, Michael Wright, Robert Gresham, and Anthony Pierson, will represent the players and their families.
The incident took place on Oct. 3 following a game between Cardinal Ritter and Massillon Washington High School in Massillon, Ohio.
According to the players’ legal team, Massillon police department pepper-sprayed Cardinal Ritter players during a post-game fight , but not a single Massillon player or coach was sprayed.
