SEBRING COUNCIL – Sebring Village Council will meet at 6:30 p.m. Oct. 27 at Village Hall. Among items on the agenda are a proclamation for retiring police chief Ray Harris, and the oaths of office for Joshua Kelm, chief of police; Aaron Peterman, sergeant; Scott Dean, reserve sergeant; Dylan Vesey, Lindsay Fraas and Olivia Mossow, patrol officers; Savannah Perkins, full-time dispatcher; and Alexandria Beeson, part-time dispatcher. A regular council meeting will follow.

CANCER FUNDRAISER – A fundraiser to support the family of Terrence Harris of Alliance is planned from 3 to 10 p.m. Oct. 29 at Texas Roadhouse, 2033 W. State St. in Alliance. Ten percent of diners’ total food purchases during that time period will go to the family during 9-year-old Terrence’s fourth battle against cancer.
