COLUMBUS, Ohio — Authorities are investigating a shooting involving deputies Sunday night in Ross County, according to the sheriff's office.

Deputies with the Ross County Sheriff's Office were called around 3 p.m. to the 400 block of state Route 180 in Chillicothe on a report of a disorderly complaint.

Upon arrival, they started an investigation which found probable cause to arrest a man for alleged assault, according to the sheriff's office.

As deputies attempted to arrest him, the situation escalated into an officer-involved shooting, the sheriff's office said.

A spokesperson with the Ohio Attorney General's office told 10TV that no deputies were injured. The man's condition is unknown at this time.
