Paige Seitz scored twice as William & Mary closed its regular season with a 4-0 victory over Hampton at Martin Family Stadium.
The Tribe (7-6-4, 5-2-2), which already had clinched a berth in the six-team Coastal Athletic Association championship tournament, earned home-field advantage for its first match in it. W&M will play host to Elon at 7 p.m. Thursday, and the victor will head to UNC Wilmington for a semifinal at 1 p.m. Sunday.
Mia Abbey’s goal in the 20th minute put the Tribe ahead 1-0. HU (5-12-1, 0-9-0), though outshot 21-4 in its finale, stayed in contention until goals by Seitz in the 80th minute, Ivey Crain in the 82nd and Seitz in the 85th. Sheridan Brummett, Crain and Molly Widderich had assists.
