LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) — A 60-year-old man was shot and killed on the south side of Lansing on Sunday.
The Lansing Police Department reports in a news release that officers were dispatched to the 5500 block of South Martin Luther King Jr. for a shooting at around 5:45 p.m.
6 News reporters were on the scene and saw at least 12 law enforcement vehicles near Silver Stone Townhomes. Police tape had been placed around one of the complexes.
Police arrived to find a 60-year-old man with a gunshot wound to the chest. The Lansing Fire Department transported the man to the hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
Police report that all parties involved have been identified and are "currently with police." They add that the shooting is believed to be a "domestic situation."
