DENVER (KDVR) — Skiers and snowboarders can now take to the mountains of Arapahoe Basin Ski Area following the opening of the area for the ski season, according to a press release from Arapahoe Basin Ski Area.
Typically, the first in North America to open for the season, Arapahoe Basin was just edged out by Keystone Resort this year, making it the first time since 2019 that Arapahoe Basin hasn't been the first to open for ski season.
It's not an official competition, but it can indicate that the staff were on top of things and successful in the meticulous preparations necessary to have an early opening day.
