Trailing 4-3 to the Eagles after 40 minutes, Kelowna Chiefs outgunned Sicamous 6-3 in the third period to earn a 9-7 comeback win in KIJHL junior hockey, Friday.
Owen Ivanov scored the winner, while Rylan Konecsni led the Chiefs’ attack with three goals and two assists. He scored the first of three goals in 1:16 to start the third and their final goal into an empty net. Michael Makowsky earned the win stopping four of seven shots in 22:39 of action.
Clayton Gillmore had two assists against his former team. Chase Campbell led the Eagles with a hat-trick and four points and Jaidyn Shaw made 33 saves.
