COLUMBIA, S.C. — Hundreds of people filled the Gervais Street Bridge on Sunday evening for one of the Midlands’ most unique traditions, the annual Gervais Street Bridge Dinner.
The event, which began in 2015, brings together the cities of Columbia and West Columbia for a night of food, fellowship and community, all while dining in the middle of the historic bridge that connects the two cities.
"Bringing both cities together is great; there's not a lot of that. And so we take this opportunity seriously,” guest Lee Pitcovich said.
Guests like Pitcovich and J.R. Finnell said the event is one they look forward to every year.
