Google has rolled out a new feature for Gemini’s Canvas, the free interactive workspace within the AI chatbot’s app, enabling users to generate presentation slides from prompts or uploaded files.

Gemini can create presentations with just a text prompt, such as “Upload any source to create a presentation on [a specific topic].”

Alternatively, users can upload files including documents, spreadsheets, and research papers to generate presentations based on specific sources.

The resulting decks automatically include themes and images alongside text.

Users can export presentations directly from the Gemini app into Google Slides for further editing, refinement, or collaborative work with teammates.

The capability is rolling out to both personal Google accounts and Workspace accounts.
