LAS VEGAS — The Carolina Cowboys claimed their first-ever title in the PBR Camping World Team Series Sunday at T‑Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, defeating the Missouri Thunder 242.50-177.75 in the championship game.
Carolina’s road to the championship included a dramatic semifinal win over the Arizona Ridge Riders, 262.75-174.75, in an overtime shoot-out — the first one in Team Series history.
In the semifinal, Cooper Davis opened the day with an 87.25-point ride on Sunrise, followed by Clay Guiton’s 87.50 on Hoobastank. With the score deadlocked after five frames, Guiton clinched the win with an 88-point ride on Milestone in the tiebreaker.
Arizona’s Keyshawn Whitehorse had 88.25 on Eyes On Me to force the tiebreaker, but Luciano De Castro failed to secure the deciding ride.
