We’re tracking an active week across Eastern North Carolina with two coastal lows on the way. The first arrives Monday night into Tuesday, bringing gusty northeast winds, periods of rain, and coastal flooding concerns for the Outer Banks and southern Pamlico Sound.

Wind gusts could reach 50 mph at the coast. After a brief lull Wednesday, another low-pressure system moves through Thursday with more rain but weaker winds. The good news is sunshine returns Friday with cooler air to wrap up the week.
