A land and sea search is continuing for a missing hang-glider pilot off the New South Wales Mid North Coast.
Emergency services began searching for the 59-year-old man on Sunday afternoon, after it was reported he lost altitude shortly after launching off Lindeman's Point near Forster.
Marine Rescue crews resumed their sea search on Monday morning, concentrating on an area off the Booti Booti National Park.
Mid North Coast duty operations manager Courtney Greenslade said forecast strong winds and swells would create challenging conditions for the rescue operation.
"Deteriorating conditions aren't in our favour for conducting searches of this nature," she said.
"So we'd like to make sure we conduct as much of that search as possible while conditions are in our favour."
