WICHITA, Kan. (KAKE) - Kansas looks to be an outlier in the national push from the Republican Party to redraw congressional districts and hand President Trump more supportive seats in Congress. It appears to be fellow Republicans who are creating the roadblock.
Kansas is one of many states considering redrawing the lines of its four congressional districts to help the president keep control of the House after the 2026 midterms. Senate President Ty Masterson and other Republicans say the reason behind it is no secret.
