A person was found dead after firefighters put out a storage unit fire in Reading in Berks County on Sunday morning, the Reading Firefighters Local 1803 said in a social media post.

The fire was called in at around 3:30 a.m. in the area of Angelica Street and Lancaster Avenue, officials said.

Firefighters arrived on the scene to find a row of storage units on fire, officials said.

Despite the fire being difficult to put out due to the contents of some of the storage units, firefighters were able to put out the fire, officials said.

However, as firefighters worked to clear the scene of any possible sites where the fire could reignite, they found a dead body, officials said.
