Indian equity indices opened Monday’s trading session on a higher note as investor sentiments were boosted by the US-China deal. The NSE Nifty 50 rose 75 points or 0.29% to open at 25,870. The BSE Sensex opened 225 points or 0.27% higher at 84,437.
The Bank Nifty opened 131 points or 0.23% higher at 57,830. Similarly, the small and midcap stocks opened the day on a stronger note. The Nifty Midcap surged 213 points or 0.36% to open at 59,444.
“Technically, the Nifty index has witnessed some sort of profit-taking from its 52-week highs in a holiday-shortened week.
