CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) -- A Clarksville mother accused of starving her teenage son to death more than three years ago is set to stand trial Monday.
On July 6, 2022, the Clarksville Police Department said officers responded to a home on Virginia Terrace, where first responders found 13-year-old Kadaris Maddox dead.
Kadaris' mother, Cheyenne Maddox, was arrested for five counts of child abuse and neglect that day, but those charges were the result of authorities discovering other children living in a home filled with trash. She later bonded out of jail.
The following month, Cheyenne was taken into custody for aggravated child abuse/neglect/endangerment related to the death of Kadaris, but once again, she was released on bond.
