Authorities confirm a truck fire began after the vehicle crashed into a Choctaw barn during a medical episode Sunday afternoon.
Around 2:38 p.m. there were calls of a truck crashing into a structure near Northeast 10th and Henney Road. Choctaw Police say an elderly man suffered a medical episode which caused him to veer off the road. The vehicle struck a gas meter and continued forward.
The damaged gas meter then sparked a fire after the truck crashed through a barn. The man was taken to a local hospital and is expected to survive.
No other injuries were reported.
