Mahabubnagar MLA Yennem Srinivas Reddy has once again criticised his own government over the mounting debts being raised by the Congress and the lack of funds available to legislators for taking up development works in their constituencies.

The MLA said that many legislators were unable to visit villages and towns in their constituencies due to a shortage of

funds.

“When we are visiting villages, residents appeal for petty works worth Rs.1 lakh to Rs.2 lakh. Unfortunately, we are unable to sanction even those works,” Srinivas Reddy said in a video that has been circulating on social media.

Despite legislators raising these concerns repeatedly, Ministers were not holding discussions or taking measures to resolve them, he said.
