The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted heavy rainfall across the country over the next few days. The eastern coast of India is preparing for the impact of Cyclone Montha, which is intensifying from a deep depression over the southeast Bay of Bengal. Coastal Karnataka, Telangana, Odisha, Chhattisgarh, Kerala, Rayalaseema, and Tamil Nadu are expected to experience heavy to very-heavy rainfall from October 27 to 31.
In addition to the southern Indian peninsula, Odisha is expected to be affected by the potential Cyclone Montha . The deep depression developed over the southeast Bay of Bengal is heading west-northwest, according to the IMD.
