Honolulu police are investigating two unattended deaths after two 18-year-old fishermen were found unresponsive off Kaena Point on Saturday morning.
Police said one of the teens was swept off the rocks, and the other went into the water to help him. Both were later located by Ocean Safety personnel near Yokohama Bay and brought to shore, where CPR was performed.
They were transported to a hospital in critical condition and later died, the Honolulu Police Department confirmed.
The investigation is ongoing.
At this time, there are no signs of suspicious activity or foul play observed at the scene, according to HPD.
The victims have not yet been publicly identified.
