Aviation Minister Ram Mohan Naidu inaugurated the newly refurbished Terminal 2 of Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport, marking a major step toward India’s aviation expansion. The upgraded terminal, capable of handling 15 million passengers annually, is central to the government’s “Viksit Bharat 2047” vision. Naidu said Delhi will serve as one of the biggest aviation hubs in Asia, ensuring seamless transfers between domestic and international flights. He emphasized the goal of building a smooth “hub ecosystem,” allowing travelers from cities like Surat to complete immigration before connecting internationally. The minister also announced plans for better inter-terminal transfers and upgraded passenger facilities, setting a 2–3 year timeline to perfect India’s hub model.
