Bargarh : Bargarh Sadar police arrested five persons for allegedly murdering a 25-year-old man named Ajit Bag in Kendpali Bazar area.

The accused, identified as Debananda Huye (42), Satya alias Satyaban Sahu (35), Sourav Bhoi (25), Sudama Saraf (27), and Sahil Bhoi (26), were arrested on Sunday.

According to the police, the incident occurred on October 22 when Ajit was brutally assaulted by the accused over a previous enmity. The police stated that Sudama had a prior dispute with Ajit, which escalated into a physical altercation on the day of the incident. On October 22, Ajit had come to Dasmail Square to watch Kali Puja with his friends. While they were watching the festivities, accused Sudama spotted him.
