The University of Queensland (UQ), Australia, and the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi (IIT Delhi) have announced the opening of Expressions of Interest (EoI) for their Joint Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) Programme, commencing in July 2026.
The collaborative programme offers candidates the opportunity to undertake research under the supervision of academics from both institutions while experiencing the academic environments of India and Australia.
PhD candidates will spend one year at UQ’s Brisbane campus and three years at IIT Delhi , gaining international research exposure, as mentioned in the press release. They also support students with fellowships, research travel grants, and relocation. The students will have access to both institutions’ academic facilities and resources.
