Christ School soccer used two early first-half goals to secure the first state championship in school history on Oct. 25.

Goals from midfielder Costa Barlas in the sixth and 13th minutes gave the Greenies (20-1) a two-goal lead on the way to a 2-1 victory over Covenant Day (15-5-1) in the North Carolina Independent Schools Athletic Association 4A state championship match.
