Gary English is facing jail after he exposed himself to workers in the store in Gateshead in August. ‌

The 38-year-old, who has a long criminal record for theft, had stolen food from a shop in Northumberland weeks before dropping his pants in the supermarket, Chronicle Live reports. ‌

The court heard he was arrested but failed to show for a subsequent court hearing and a warrant was then issued for his arrest. He then breached his bail by failing to sign-on at a police station. He was kept in custody and put before magistrates in Newcastle.

English pleaded guilty to exposure, failing to surrender to custody and shop theft. He also admitted breaching his bail. ‌
