Lawson, 23, came within yards of hitting the marshal after he found himself off the back of the race. The New Zealander had crashed on the first corner, forcing him into the pits, and almost out of the race. ‌

And he was so far back, two marshals, who had been on the track to clear up debris amid the yellow flag, were running across the track when he came around the corner. ‌
