A 25-year-old man was taken to hospital in a "life-threatening condition" after a collision between a pedal bike and a car on a busy Greater Manchester street.

Officers were called out to Liverpool Street in Salford at around 6pm on Wednesday evening (October 22).

Greater Manchester Police closed off the road at the junction with Seedley Park Road following a collision involving a car and a bike.

An hour ago, GMP released an updated statement saying following further assessment, the 25-year-old man was deemed to be in a life-threatening condition, and remains in hospital.
