Peoria shooting sends two people to the hospital, one in critical condition

PEORIA, Ill. – Police are investigating a shooting in Central Peoria Sunday night that left two people injured, one of them critically.

PPD arrived in the area of N. Isabell Avenue and W. Hudson Street around 8:15 p.m., not finding a victim, but minutes later they found two people inside a vehicle with gunshot wounds near Isabell and W. Merle.

PPD Spokesperson Semone Roth said a man was taken to a hospital in critical condition. A woman, who had also been shot inside the vehicle, was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police have not released any suspect information.
