BROOKLYN, Mich. (WILX) - Halloween is creeping up, and finding family-friendly Halloween events without jump scares can be tough.
For the first time, the Michigan International Speedway (MIS) is hosting a Halloween-themed drive-thru light show.
The speedway typically offers a Christmas-themed drive-thru light show around the holidays, but this year, they added a Halloween one.
The show features ghosts, pumpkins, bats, and more, but it avoids jump scares and scare actors.
John Spink, the owner of Nite Lites, said families enjoy the not-so-scary Halloween fun.
“They enjoyed it. They were happy that there was some place to go where they could take the younger ones and not worry about someone jumping out with a chainsaw and scaring them,” said Spink.
