LOS ANGELES—Bo Bichette will be back in the Blue Jays starting lineup for Game 3 of the World Series on Monday.
Bichette, who returned to the Jays lineup in Game 1 after a seven-week absence with a left knee sprain, did not start in the Game 2 loss Saturday, though he pinch-hit for Isiah Kiner-Falefa in the seventh and finished the game at second base. He is 1-for-3 with a walk in the two games.
“Expecting him to be in (the lineup),” Jays manager John Schneider said Sunday at Dodger Stadium. “He’s out here working out. Felt good coming out of (Saturday). I think with each day that goes on, he’ll probably get as close to normal as he can at this stage of the year. But the fact that he’s out here working out is a good sign and expect him to be in there (Monday).”
