Former WWE Universal Champion Braun Strowman, real name Adam Scherr, has provided an update on his wrestling future following his release from the company earlier this year. WWE released Strowman on May 2, 2025, and has not competed in a match or made any other wrestling-related appearances since his departure.
In an interview with Going Ringside, Strowman clarified that he is not retired from professional wrestling. Instead, he is taking time off to recover physically and explore other opportunities outside of the ring.
“I’m taking a break right now,” Strowman stated. “These (hands) are always ready if anybody wants them, but right now, I’m enjoying taking a little break, getting my body healed back up as normal as I can, and experiencing some other things that life has to experience. I
