Detroit Police Chief Todd Bettison said his department shot a woman on Sunday after she allegedly moved her vehicle towards officers.
He said she sustained injuries to her arms and her leg and is in stable condition.
A police officer conducted a traffic stop of an SUV at around 3:03 p.m. Sunday, Bettison told reporters. The vehicle didn't have valid license plates, he said. During the stop, the driver "refused to comply" ― she wouldn't show her driver's license and registration or get out of the vehicle, he said.
