PEORIA, Ill. – Gas prices in Peoria have dropped nearly 3 cents a gallon in the last week, averaging $3.11 on Monday, according to GasBuddy. AAA Illinois’ average price is a penny higher.
GasBuddy says Peoria’s gas prices are nearly 20.5 cents lower than last month and 21.3 cents lower than this time last year.
The cheapest gas in Peoria on Sunday was $2.86, while the most expensive gas was $3.39.
GasBuddy says the lowest price in the state was $2.57 and the highest price was $4.49.
GasBuddy’s national price of gas went up 2.5 cents a gallon in the last week, averaging $3.00 on Monday. That’s nearly 11 cents lower than a month ago and nearly 7.5 cents lower than a year ago.
AAA Illinois’ state average price of unleaded gas is $3.23, while its national price is $3.05.
