CHICO, Calif. - Archie McKinnon disappeared 37 years ago after making a chilling phone call to his mother from a bar in Chico. On July 11, 1988, McKinnon told his mother, Marjorie Puccinelli, that people were "after him," but she never heard from him again.
The Butte County Sheriff's Office reported that McKinnon, who was 39 at the time, contacted his mother from a bar on Park Avenue. He had a habit of calling her every day before he vanished. Despite extensive searches, neither McKinnon nor his remains have been found, and foul play is suspected.
