CHICO, Calif. - Archie McKinnon disappeared 37 years ago after making a chilling phone call to his mother from a bar in Chico. On July 11, 1988, McKinnon told his mother, Marjorie Puccinelli, that people were "after him," but she never heard from him again.

The Butte County Sheriff's Office reported that McKinnon, who was 39 at the time, contacted his mother from a bar on Park Avenue. He had a habit of calling her every day before he vanished. Despite extensive searches, neither McKinnon nor his remains have been found, and foul play is suspected.

McKinnon was reported missing on April 28, 1989, by Puccinelli, who grew concerned after not hearing from him for several months. He was last seen wearing blue jeans and a tan T-shirt. He stood 5 feet 9 inches tall, weighed 150 pounds, and had
