BUTTE COUNTY, Calif. — CAL FIRE Law Enforcement arrested a suspect accused of hitting a county fire engine with an energy drink can while crews responded to a vegetation fire on Upper Palermo Road on June 29.
According to CAL FIRE, the fire engine was struck by a 20-ounce Red Bull can, which shattered the windshield and made the vehicle inoperable. After a thorough investigation, authorities identified 31-year-old Palermo man, William Miller Jr., as the suspect. CAL FIRE, in collaboration with the Butte County Sheriff’s Office and California Highway Patrol, issued a warrant for his arrest.
