NEW DELHI: The Election Commission of India on Monday announced that phase 2 of SIR (Special Intensive Revision) of electoral rolls will be carried out in 12 States/Union territories. The 12 states and UTs where the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) will begin from tomorrow are as follows: Among these, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Kerala, and West Bengal will go to the polls in 2026. Addressing a press conference in Delhi, the chief election commissioner Gyanesh Kumar also announced that draft rolls will be published on December 9, while final electoral rolls on February 7, 2026.
