STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — The FDNY fought a fire at a home in New Brighton on Monday morning.
A civilian suffered a minor injury but declined medical attention, according to a spokesperson for the FDNY.
The fire was reported at 7:20 a.m. on the second floor of a three-story home at 153 Brighton Ave., near Trumbull Place and Glen Avenue, according to the FDNY spokesperson.
The fire was brought under control in about a half hour, at 7:54 a.m., the FDNY spokesperson said.
About 60 firefighters and 12 units responded, according to emergency radio communications.
